Control Panel Company Plesk Makes Server Patch Solution KernelCare Available to Customers
Control panel company Plesk has made the KernelCare server patch solution available to its customers. Plesk, which has headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, provides one of the leading control panels utilized in the web hosting industry. The panel allows hosting users to manage infrastructure and security through a single interface and powers “more than 10 million websites and over 18 million mailboxes worldwide”. Plesk customers can now purchase KernelCare directly from their control panel.

KernelCare for Plesk is designed to manage kernel security updates. The solution improves server uptime by enhancing server security and alleviating the need for server reboots during patching. A CloudLinux product, it supports the “most popular Linux distributions” and installs quickly using only a single line of code.

“KernelCare delivers a super-fast release of security patches for new vulnerabilities, and installs those without the need to reboot the server,” explained CloudLinux’s CEO and Founder Igor Seletskiy. “For hosting providers, it delivers an additional, invaluable benefit - it helps them get rid of maintenance windows associated with kernel updates, thus avoiding disrupting their customers’ uptime.”
