PacificHost is providing CPremote backups through its shared and reseller hosting offerings. The company, a provider of Linux-based cPanel hosting catering to social media and video sharing websites, has transitioned to CPremote from the R1soft server backup software it was formerly using.
CPremote allows PacificHost’s customers to view, manage, and restore account backups located on its remote servers. Whereas previously shared and reseller customers needed to contact Pacifichost to restore specific items, the new system offers a user-friendly Graphical User Interface that enables users to restore entire accounts or specific files themselves. It also allows users to mail MySQL databases.
Pacifichost is planning to extend its CPremote’s backup functionality to VPS customers later this year.
