Custom data center and colocation provider
DataBank Holdings, Ltd. has acquired data center infrastructure provider
VeriSpace in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The purchase means that DataBank now operates 8 data centers in Texas and Minnesota, totaling in excess of 180,000 square feet of space.
DataBank prides itself on solutions that allow companies to manage risk and which enable them focus on their core capabilities. It provides managed data center services offering 100% uptime through facilities that include a considerable storage area network and an Internet hub served by a number of ISPs. VeriSpace is a data center infrastructure provider whose services include colocation. The company also owns a 10,000 square foot facility in Edina, Minnesota.
DataBank's purchase is an extension of the company's policy of expanding into new markets. VeriSpace caters to a number of leading enterprises in the Minnesota area, and it now offers DataBank a key location from which it can expand further. The company also plans to build an additional data center in the area in the coming year.
