Data backup and business collaboration company
LogMeIn is offering a new version of its BoldChat customer engagement software which helps web hosts and other businesses offer customer support for mobile web users. The new BoldChat version enables companies to customize their live chat option for mobile visitors using any device. Three versions of BoldChat are now available - BoldChat Pro, Enterprise and Premier. BoldChat Pro is available with a $599 per year license fee.
LogMeIn, Inc. offers a range of cloud services that enable people to work from any location and at any time. The new version of the company’s BoldChat comes against a backdrop of increased mobile device usage which has forced companies into a “multichannel” approach to customer engagement. A recent survey that took in over 5,800 mobile device owners in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand suggested that around 50% of mobile device users contact a range of types of customer support using such devices with around 20% always contacting customer support options using a mobile device. Another study by the International Customer Management Institute suggested that only 25% of companies have a strategy for dealing with enquiries from customers using mobile devices.
LogMeIn has headquarters in Boston and facilities in Australia, Hungary, India, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. The company’s enhancement of BoldChat includes new customizable chat windows that are ideal for mobile usage and do not require users to switch between separate screen views or windows. In addition, the new version offers alerts that indicate to customer service operatives that a customer utilizing a mobile device is contacting them.
“With the rise of mobile as a preferred channel, businesses are actively pivoting their customer engagement strategies to a mobile first approach, and we’ve focused our innovation to help accelerate those efforts,” explained LogMeIn’s VP of Products, Steve Castro-Miller. “The new capabilities in BoldChat are designed to reset the bar for mobile chat, giving consumers an elegant, fluid experience honed for mobile devices, while giving businesses the insight and control needed to optimize mobile interactions.”
