Data center and cloud hosting solutions company TurnKey Internet, Inc. (TurnKey Internet) has earned recognition for protecting the environment. TurnKey Internet, which has headquarters in Latham, New York, United States, was established in 1999. The company is a managed web hosting and cloud based IT solutions leader offering enterprise-class options to customers in more than 150 countries. The company owns and operates a “green data center” in Albany, New York which offers customers “100% network up-time and guaranteed next generation fiber optic network”. Its services extend to dedicated servers, virtual private servers and cloud hosting options alongside website and ecommerce solutions, web conferencing solutions and hosting reseller packages. The company’s New York data center’s “state-of-the-art technology and 100% renewable energy” helped it achieve ‘ENERGY STAR’ certification for 2018.

With headquarters in Washington, DC, United States, ENERGY STAR provides an energy efficiency program with focus on commercial and industrial buildings. Established in 1992, it is a voluntary scheme which is part of the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Companies that are certified can display a blue mark which indicates that its products and services offer environmental benefits and ‘superior energy efficiency’. Data centers that are ENERGY STAR certified perform “in the top 25 percent of buildings nationwide, based on weather-normalized source energy”.

“We’re honored to once again earn the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance at our Albany, New York data center and appreciate the efforts of everyone who has been involved in its efficient operation,” explained TurnKey Internet’s CEO Adam Wills. “TurnKey’s green data center was built with sustainability in mind, and our commitment only evolves as the world-wide demand for energy consumption continues to multiply.” He continued to say, “Saving energy is just one of the ways we show our community we care, and that we’re committed to doing our part to protect the environment and public health, both today and for future generations.”
