TurnKey Internet, Inc. (TurnKey Internet) has strengthened its green credentials by winning awards and certification from two key environmental organizations. Turnkey Internet has headquarters in Latham, New York, United States and specializes in “sustainable web hosting and IT solutions”. The company caters to customers in more than 150 countries offering a range of services including colocation, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), managed cloud server and Computing-as-a-Service (CaaS) options. TurnKey Internet’s services are available through its SSAE 16 and ENERGY STAR-certified Type 2 data center in New York. The Green Business Bureau and Green America have both recognized the company for its’ “green initiatives and commitment to the environment”.
News of the awards comes prior to Earth Day, which takes place April 22, 2018. TurnKey Internet’s services utilize “state-of-the-art technology and 100% renewable energy”, which includes hydro power from Niagara Falls and solar power. Its data center offers temperature-regulated server racks that use “thirty-three percent less energy than traditional data centers”. The company is going to take the opportunity to “amplify awareness for their low-energy, low-impact IT solutions” with an “Earth Day promotion for the entirety of April”.
“The future of both the Cloud Industry and the IT world in general revolve around energy—generating it from renewable resources and consuming it efficiently,” explained TurnKey Internet’s CEO, Adam Wills. “TurnKey’s green data center was built with sustainability in mind, and our commitment only evolves as the world-wide demand for energy consumption continues to multiply,” he added.
