Data center and cloud solutions provider
TierPoint has partnered with Compass Datacenters (Compass). TierPoint, which has headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, was established in 2010. The company specializes in a broad range of areas including colocation, cloud computing, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) options, managed services, and disaster recovery (DRaaS) packages. It operates 40 data centers across the United States and its carrier-neutral facilities are SSAE 16 certified. TierPoint’s partnership with Compass will focus on the expansion of its facility at the Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina, United States.
Compass, which has headquarters in Dallas, Texas, United States, was founded in 2011. The company “provides solutions from the core to the edge” that target “cloud and SaaS providers, enterprises, colocation and hosting companies”. Together the companies will work on a $20 million expansion of TierPoint’s facility, adding around 9,000 square feet of office area to the facility's existing production space. The center will also offer 1.2 megawatts of capacity, which is expandable to 3.6 megawatts, and provide “high-efficiency cooling; diverse high-speed network connectivity; and multi-layer physical security”.

This project will provide a future-proof, state-of-the-art facility and flexible growth options for TierPoint customers."
