November 7, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Data center and managed services provider Hosted Solutions (http://www.hostedsolutions.com) is hosting a seminar on data center design for graduate students in the North Carolina State Jenkins Graduate School of Management, it was announced yesterday.
The seminar takes place on November 14, 2007 at 08:00 and will focus on the “design and multiple redundancies built into the overall framework of a data center facility, and how corporations can utilize data centers to increase the productivity, security, and reliability of their IT systems and infrastructure”.
The seminar will highlight “real-world case studies” and offer insight into the advantages of utilizing a data center environment. These include faster provisioning and installation, data center redundancies, increased capacity, greater flexibility and scalability and better business continuity and disaster recovery.
"Managed service providers can support a wide-range of applications more easily and cost effectively than traditional IT departments in a manner that often strengthens overall controls," explained Mark Beasley, Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative at NC State’s College of Management. "Our students will get an overview of Data Center facilities and managed services, and how they are being utilized in organizations of all sizes. This seminar will provide an excellent opportunity for our students to observe state of the art controls surrounding IT."
