Data center and managed services provider
InfoRelay Online Systems, Inc. (InfoRelay) has acquired a second data center in Northern Virginia. The company, whose headquarters are in Herndon, Virginia, USA, caters to a broad customer base which includes "Fortune 500 companies, educational organizations and public agencies". Its new data facility is in Reston, Virginia, and the company now has 12 data centers across the United States.
InfoRelay's new a carrier-neutral data center was formerly owned by 365 Data Centers and offers N+1 and 2N redundancy. It has been offering colocation and network services through this data center since 2006, but in acquiring the facility, InfoRelay is now able to customize its solutions to more closely meet customer requirements. The center is connected to key network providers that include Cogent, Level(3), Verizon Business, and Zayo. Facilities offered at the center include "AC and DC power, commercial-grade Internet and private network connectivity, managed services and cloud services".
“InfoRelay was already uniquely positioned as one of the only providers of managed colocation and cloud services with a national presence,” explained Josh Abraham, the Director of Product Development at InfoRelay. “The acquisition of this Reston facility is really exciting for several reasons. Not only does it add experienced staff but it also allows us to offer even more flexible disaster recovery and business continuity solutions to clients nationally. This further cements our significant presence in Northern Virginia.”
