Data Center Colocation, Managed and Network Services Provider Data Foundry Launches Data Center in Houston
Colocation, managed and network services provider Data Foundry has launched a new data center in Houston, Texas, USA. The company, which was established in 1994, offers a range of data center services which include disaster recovery options. It specializes in providing "secure premium facilities" which are supported by an "experienced onsite technicians and customer support". Data Foundry caters to around 1,000 business customers through its data center in Austin, Texas, and its two centers in Houston, Texas.

Data Foundry's new Houston facility (Houston 2) offers 350,000 square feet of data center space. The facility offers 60MW of power with dual 34.5 kV underground utility feeds. It was built as a response to "the lack of premium colocation options for the Houston business community". Houston 2 can provide colocation for companies that require only a single cabinet, and it can also accommodate "large wholesale deployments". It offers a choice between more than 10 network carriers.

“Our Houston 2 data center was constructed to support unprecedented growth we’re experiencing in the region,” explained Data Foundry's President and CFO, Shane Menking. “Houston has been an underserved market that has been waiting for a large scale, premium data center with the high level of service and quality Data Foundry provides.”
