Data Center Infrastructure Provider Minkels Launches LED Tubes for Data Center Aisle Containment
Data center infrastructure provider Minkels has launched LED tubes for data center aisle containment. With a presence in the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland and Belgium, Minkels has global headquarters in Veghel, Netherlands. A Legrand company, it manufactures and supplies “total solutions for data center infrastructure” with products under four divisions - cooling (Variondition), housing (Varicon), power distribution (VariconPower) and monitoring (VariControl). The company’s new LED tubes enhance safety by improving visibility inside data centers.

Minkels’ IEC 62471:2006-certified LED tubes are energy efficient and “optimized for data center aisle containment infrastructure”. They allow for the expansion through extension cables and use magnet systems that make them easy to mount.

Two varieties of the tubes are available – one designed to be on permanently, and another where the tubes are “activated by means of a PIR sensor that detects movement”, meaning to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability, they go off automatically when someone leaves a corridor.
