Database Hosting and Management Company ScaleGrid Launches Shared MongoDB Hosting
Database hosting and management company Scalegrid, Inc. (ScaleGrid) has launched shared MongoDB hosting options. ScaleGrid, which has headquarters in Palo Alto, California, United States, specializes in fully managed Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions. The company’s offerings are provided to a broad customer base which includes developers, startups, and companies like Adobe, Dell and UPS. Its latest plans are available on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The new ‘Shared Cluster’ plan complements its ‘Dedicated Cluster’ and ‘Bring Your Own Cloud’ database options.

ScaleGrid's new plans support MongoDB 3.4.9 and provide unlimited databases and premium database management tools. These tools include “slow query analysis, alerts, web command line and automated monitoring”. Hosted in Docker containers, the “highly-available” plans provide dynamic scaling and free backups. They also offer users full MongoDB clusters admin access. All-inclusive pricing includes network, disk, machine and management for $10 per GB.

"We're very excited to bring our full suite of database management features to our Shared Cluster plan and drive the market forward at a reduced cost," explained the CEO and founder of ScaleGrid, Dharshan Rangegowda. "One of the greatest benefits of our shared hosting is the ability to enable compression, allowing our customers to significantly save on their hosting costs while retaining high speeds and little to no load on their system."
