July 17, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Datapipe has announced an addition to its Board of Directors after employing the services of Admiral Robert C. "Willie" Williamson.

Williamson has compiled experience in developing market strategy, competitive assessments, and strategic analysis for cloud computing, after formerly serving as commanding officer of the USS Nimitz.

His past roles have seen him occupy positions at Raytheon Company, The Severn and Microsoft Corporation Group, with the latter seeing him create the company’s first-ever global government strategy.

The graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and the Naval War College, spoke of his new role at the company.

"I am excited to add value to their executive team and I am fully committed to assist Datapipe in achieving its next stage of growth," said Admiral Williamson.

"Datapipe has a great approach to the market, its credentials are rock solid and well founded on proven technology, it has a cadre of extremely dedicated and experienced employees, and the company is lead by a highly strategic management team."

During his tenure at Raytheon, Admiral Williamson was involved in its Navy C3I and ForceNet strategies, along with its global London-based global communications unit. He was also a member of Barack Obama's National Security Campaign team.

Datapipe CEO, Rob Allen, commented on the appointment, saying; "We're very pleased to have Admiral Williamson as the newest member of our Board of Directors and are confident he will be instrumental to achieving our next stage of growth."

Allen continued; "Datapipe has achieved consistent growth by staying focused on providing industry-leading support and value to our clients. Part of our success is the guidance of a top-level board consisting of leading industry experts, with a rich history in advising successful companies."
