July 20, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Chris Roberts has been appointed Channel Director for EMEA by cloud provider
Datapipe. Roberts will join existing partners, with the vision to expand the business in the VAR/SI, technology vendor and service provider channel.
His previous role was at fellow web hosting company iomart, where he oversaw their development of a multi-million dollar channel business. His other responsibilities included building, promoting and delivering an indirect program for the channel community.
Roberts explained the importance behind expansion into VAR/SI, which will be part of his new role at Datapipe. "Cloud computing has provided VAR/SI and service provider industries with a new revenue stream to enhance their businesses," he said.
"Datapipe's award-winning managed services provide a competitive advantage for the UK and EMEA channel market, enabling them to quickly take advantage of cloud computing and virtualization, business continuity, disaster recovery, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and other solutions to strengthen their businesses."
