DDoS Defense Solutions Provider Corero Receives $2 Million Investment
Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) defense solutions provider Corero Network Security (Corero) has received a $2 million investment. Corero has headquarters in Hudson, Massachusetts, United States. The company protects web hosting and cloud services providers and other organizations with “real-time, high-performance DDoS defense solutions”. Corero’s latest investment was received from Juniper Networks (Juniper).

Juniper, a leader in automated, scalable and secure networks, has headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, United States, was established in 1996. The company bills itself as “leading the revolution in networking” and “one of the most exciting technology companies in Silicon Valley today”. Operating in 70 countries and employing more than 9,000 staff, it offers routing infrastructure for IP networks and cloud data centers. Juniper’s customers include Global Fortune 100 companies and US federal, state and local government entities. Its $2 million investment comes in the wake of a “multi-year global resale partnership” that will see Juniper resell Corero's ‘SmartWall’ offerings.

“We welcome this investment from a global corporation of Juniper Network’s reputation and scale, in addition to our previously announced global resale partnership,” explained the CEO of Corero, Ashley Stephenson. “We feel this represents a further endorsement of our vision for SmartWall products as a critical component in securing IT networks from DDoS attacks. We look forward to working closely with Juniper to capitalize on our partnership and jointly pursuing the market opportunity for DDoS protection via its global sales force and channel.”
