RapidSwitch has been chosen to host a multi-platform software solution designed to assist oil and gas engineers. The company, which is based in Maidenhead, Surrey, United Kingdom, will host the “paperless” software solution designed by Altrincham, UK-based software company VanCert. The software allows engineers providing safety certification services for customers to manage and complete their certification activity through a smartphone or tablet.
Established in 1999, RapidSwitch is a part of the iomart Group and manages around 10,000 servers. It caters to a broad customer base including enterprises of all sizes by providing “servers, power and network connectivity” from N+1 data centers located in the United Kingdom.
"VanCert is an example of how innovative software as a service can help small businesses,” explained RapidSwitch’s Commercial Director, Neil Christie. “The engineers can access the job and certification data from their portable smart devices and then transmit it back via the internet to be stored securely in our fully redundant data centers."
