Deep Learning Cloud Solutions Provider Cirrascale Cloud Services Announces IBM Power Systems AC922 Availability
Deep learning cloud solutions provider Cirrascale Cloud Services LLC (Cirrascale Cloud Services) has announced IBM Power System Accelerated Compute Server (AC922) availability on its deep learning and HPC cloud platform. Cirrascale Cloud Services, which has headquarters in Poway, California, United States, was established in 2010. The company bills itself as “a premier provider of public and private dedicated, multi-GPU cloud solutions” that enable deep learning. Its solutions are available to “large-scale deep learning operators”, service providers and HPC users. IBM Power Systems AC922 is now available both on its deep learning and HPC platform.

IBM Power Systems AC922 “delivers unprecedented performance” for HPC, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). The solution enables businesses to confidently deploy data-intensive workloads such as deep learning frameworks and accelerated databases. The redesigned solution supports technologies that include CAPI 2.0, PCIe Gen 4, and NVLink 2.0, dramatically improving CPU:GPU bandwidth. The company differs from other providers in that its dedicated GPUs are available as a bare metal solution, offering full system configuration flexibility.

“Deep learning and HPC workloads require an advanced level of computing architecture between CPUs and GPUs to resolve bandwidth bottlenecks,” explained Cirrascale Cloud Services’ Vice President, Mike LaPan. “With the Cirrascale Cloud Services platform offering the new IBM POWER9 servers, customers can experience the next level of GPU-accelerated computing across industries.”
