Digital media technology company Remark Media Partners and Chinese cloud company Alibaba Cloud
have partnered to offer Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in China. Remark Media , which has headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, has a number of websites including PublisherBanks.com, FileLater.com, TaxExtension.com, and entertainment and original content website, SlapTV.com. The company also offers advanced facial recognition and image classification services, and it is these services that the company will work with Alibaba Cloud to provide in China.
Alibaba Cloud (also known as Aliyun) was established in 2009 and has headquarters in Hangzhou, China. Part of the Alibaba Group, it specializes in providing “highly scalable cloud computing and data management services” to businesses, banks and government organizations. Its services extend to ecommerce and ‘Big Data’ options. The partnership will see Remark Media leverage its proprietary KanKan Data Intelligence Platform to provide “advanced facial recognition and image classification services” for Alibaba Cloud's "AI-based Robotic Vision Ecosystem Union."
