UST Global has acquired cloud service management platform FogPanel. The company, which has headquarters in Aliso Viejo, California, USA, provides digital solutions to a global customer base, focusing in 6 areas: cyber security, mobile, design, analytics, social and cloud. The company has around 15,000 associates in 25 countries and its purchase of FogPanel is intended to strengthen its cloud infrastructure management capability.
FogPanel offers a "fast and flexible billing system for Apache Cloudstack with integrated support solution and App store, designed for webhosting and ISPs". Its platform manages and monitors cloud resource usage across hybrid cloud environments. Its capabilities will offer UST Global clients self-service automated cloud resources and enable them to effectively control their IT resource usage. UST Global has absorbed FogPanel's 12-strong staff who have experience with a range of cloud platforms including OpenStack, Cloudstack, AWS and Azure. Financial details of the deal were not released.
"With this acquisition, UST Global continues to build our presence in the cloud space which enables us to stay ahead of the target with our clients," explained UST Global's CEO, Sajan Pillai. "This acquisition offers UST Global a chance to add more features to our growing cloud platforms as well as open a delivery center in Coimbatore, India which will focus on cloud and DevOps. We are excited to push the boundaries of our cloud solutions in an extremely competitive global market."
