Discount retailer Pepkor Europe Limited (Pepkor Europe) has chosen
Oracle Cloud to underpin expansion plans for its leading brands. Pepkor Europe, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, was established in 2015. The company has several high street brands including PEPCO, Poundland and Dealz. Combined these brands have 2,000 stores in 14 countries that offer a broad range of products including clothing, health, beauty, and food products. The company will utilize ‘Oracle Retail’s’ inventory management solutions to improve “operational agility and flexibility through better visibility into inventory and margins”.
Oracle Retail provides a platform for retail companies in several areas including fashion and grocery retailers. The platform provides cloud services and hardware that include a range of business applications for key business functions. The company’s ‘Retail Merchandising Cloud Service’ and ‘Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud’ services work together to automate financial management processes and optimize inventory management. Pepkor Europe’s thorough evaluation of potential providers highlighted Oracle Retail’s ability to enhance its operational efficiency. The company’s cloud-based solution addresses a range of functions (including backend financials) and can support “multiple accounting approaches, currencies, languages, and legal entities."
