Domain registrar and web host
GoDaddy has announced the launch of GoCentral. GoDaddy, which has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States, is a household name in the United States and has a global presence. The company built its name through a series of risqué Super Bowl commercials that often starred professional stock car racing driver, Danica Patrick. It is recognized as the world’s leading domain provider and its hosting services focus on helping SMEs develop a viable, cost-effective Internet presence. GoDaddy’s latest offering supports this objective by enabling its customers to develop websites using only a mobile device.
GoDaddy suggests GoCentral users can develop a fully functioning website in around an hour using nothing more than a mobile phone. This will be particularly appealing to business people who don’t want the expense of engaging a developer to establish a website for them, yet do not have the time to invest in full-scale website development. The website builder utilizes a series of responsive templates that enable sites to be viewed through a PC or any type of handheld device (phone, tablet, etc.). The solution offers users a number of plans, starting at only $6 a month for the ‘Personal’ plan. More expensive options include an ‘Online Store Plan’ at $30 per month which includes ecommerce and marketing options alongside an optional online payment solution.
"Traditional DIY site builders got it wrong by forcing people to focus their time on tweaking page layout instead of generating results," Explained Lauren Antonoff, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of GoDaddy in a press release on the company’s website. "Many small businesses struggle to attract visitors to their sites, and the little traffic they do get is largely coming from mobile devices. We're fundamentally changing the approach by creating a mobile friendly experience that lets customers focus on achieving their goals, rather than worry about site designs. GoCentral is unique in that it helps customers get noticed, reach audiences wherever they are, and drive real results, including sales."
