Domain Registrar Namecheap Launches EasyWP
Domain registrar Namecheap, Inc. (Namecheap) has launched EasyWP - a new managed WordPress hosting option. Namecheap, which has headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, was established in 2001. The company prides itself on “opening doors to online success” and, alongside domain registration services, offers a range of services including hosting, SSL certificates, and website building tools. Namecheap’s new service allows customers to “install WordPress in less than 30 seconds, with no technical expertise required”.

Namecheap’s EasyWP, which is still in beta, is a cloud application platform that leverages Kubernetes container technology. Users can install WordPress without the requirement to upload software or manage DNS records. EasyWP is hosted in a “blazing fast” optimized environment and offers a user friendly dashboard for WordPress management. Namecheap’s new plan offers 1 WordPress website with connection to Namecheap domains and 1GB of storage alongside an “easy backup” function. Costs start at $8.88 for the first year and $48.88 per year for subsequent years.

"EasyWP is a game changer in how customers can use and enjoy WordPress," explained the CIO of Namecheap, Matt Russell. "We've hand-crafted a fully containerized cloud platform from the ground up that enables us to offer EasyWP at a fraction of the price of many of our competitors and gives us full control of our own cloud infrastructure. We have an ambitious roadmap of new features and are enhancing EasyWP daily."
