Ecommerce and CMS Hosting Company Nexcess Offers Open Source Solutions through New Australian Data Center
Ecommerce and Content Management System (CMS) hosting company Nexcess is offering Open Source (OS) solutions through a new data center in Sydney, Australia. Nexcess, which has global headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, United States, was established in 2000. The company operates data centers “throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia” and offers “a variety of WordPress, Magento, ExpressionEngine, and Craft CMS hosting services” suitable for customers of all sizes. By offering services through its new center, Nexcess is extending its international footprint.

WordPress is the internet’s leading CMS and underpins 20% of the websites on the internet. Magento is recognized as the leading OS ecommerce solution. ExpressionEngine is a “flexible, feature-rich content management platform” while Craft CMS is “a focused content management system for developers, designers, and web professionals”. Nexcess’ new data center will ensure its customers in Australia and the Asia Pacific region benefit from low latency services and high levels of performance and availability.

“Australia and the Asia Pacific region are among the fastest growing hosting markets in the world,” explained Nexcess’ CEO and President, Chris Wells. “We’re seeing huge demand in the region for all our hosting products, particularly Magento ecommerce hosting. By moving to a new state-of-the-art facility in Sydney, we can offer very low latency connectivity throughout the region as demand continues to grow.”
