Edge-cloud infrastructure company Kodiak Data
and on-demand cloud connectivity provider Cloudbus, Inc. (Cloudbus) have announced their collaboration on EdgeCache CDN. Kodiak Data, which has headquarters in Mountain View, California, United States, was established in 2014. The company‘s edge-cloud solution enables customers to “easily deploy and scale big data infrastructure in both private and hybrid clouds”. Its “data-optimized clouds” leverage the agility of public clouds and help lower costs. Together with Cloudbus, Kodiak Data will introduce EdgeCache CDN, the industry's “first distributed 100 Gbits/sec private cloud CDN service”.
Cloudbus, which has headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, United States, was established in 2016. The company helps properties “stand out from the crowd with revenue-generating services”. Its new connectivity service adds “thousands of commercial properties to its national backbone” to offer tenants secure, on-demand connectivity. Its partnership with Kodiak Data adds EdgeCache and EdgeCache CDN availability to all Cloudbus Points-of-Presence for “multi-tenant services and selected Equinix, Raging-Wire and Hurricane Electric data centers”.

"This successfully integrates the low latency and high speed of our networks to remove geological boundaries for private cloud and, at the same time, enable users to save hundreds of thousands of dollars in cloud storage usage and transit costs."
