Elastic has announced that Elastic Stack is now available through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Elastic, which was established in 2012, has headquarters in Amsterdam and Mountain View, California, United States. Its products – including the Open Source Elasticsearch project and other products such as Logstash, Kibana, Beats, and Found – have been downloaded 40 million times to date and underpin “many of the world's leading mobile, social, consumer and business applications”.
Elastic is backed by a number of Venture Capitalists including Benchmark Capital and Index Ventures. It offers developers a software stack that makes “massive amounts of structured and unstructured data available” and allows them to “utilize real-time insights to power mission critical applications for search, logging, analytics, and more”. Adding Elastic to the Azure Marketplace allows developers to utilize “preconfigured templates” and “more easily and quickly deploy an Elasticsearch cluster on Azure”.
Microsoft and Elastic’s cooperation means developers are now able to utilize Elasticsearch to “add critical commercial enhancements like cluster and data security, cluster management, alerting, and automation” through a Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) model and the option of an Elastic subscription.

"With tighter integration, our customers will be able to more easily deploy Elasticsearch and our other products on Microsoft Azure at any scale across their mission critical applications."
