Enterprise-class Data Center Services Provider DataBank Acquires C7 Data Centers
Underscoring the company’s expansion strategy, enterprise-class data center services provider DataBank has acquired C7 Data Centers (C7). DataBank, which has headquarters in Dallas, Texas, United States, offers a range of managed data center services “anchored in world-class facilities”. The company provides customized solutions that enable its customers to mitigate risk, enhance performance and “focus on their core business objectives”. Financial aspects of its acquisition of C7 have not be released.

C7 has headquarters in Utah, United States and is the largest data center provider in the state, operating three data centers there including the primary carrier hotel in Salt Lake City. The company specializes in providing “state-of-the-art, high value and high-density multi-tenant data centers” that offer cloud, production and disaster recovery solutions to businesses in the domestic and global markets. C7 sits alongside DataBank’s “existing portfolio” in Minnesota, Kansas, and Texas, United States.

“Entering a new strategic market like Salt Lake City represents a huge milestone for the company,” explained DataBank’s CEO, Timothy Moore. “C7 has a strong reputation and is one of the leading providers of data center and IT services in the region. The C7 strategy, interconnection density, and client base is similar to ours; we see this as a natural extension of DataBank’s vision that will help us with our customers as they continue to expand.”
