Enterprise Cloud Computing Leader Nutanix to Acquire Kubernetes and Docker Monitoring Platform Provider Netsil
Enterprise cloud computing leader Nutanix, Inc. (Nutanix) is to acquire Netsil Inc. (Netsil) - a monitoring platform provider for Kubernetes and Docker-based microservices applications. Nutanix, which has headquarters in San Jose, California, United States, was established in 2009. The company specializes in making infrastructure “invisible” so customers can “focus on the applications and services” that power their businesses. Its enterprise cloud platform offers compute, virtualization and storage services in a “software-defined solution with rich machine intelligence”. Nutanix has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Netsil.

Netsil, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, was established in 2016. Its flagship ‘Application Operations Center’ (AOC) gives DevOps teams “complete visibility into all their services and dependencies, with absolutely no code changes required”. This reduces downtime and ensures safer deployments. AOC maps an entire application, discovers the internal and external services required, and “captures dependencies among services” to monitor service health.

“Netsil’s innovative technology offers an original approach to simple yet comprehensive application discovery and operations management across multiple cloud environments and will be a powerful addition to Nutanix,” explains Nutanix’s Chief Product and Development Officer, Sunil Potti. “Netsil, which can be consumed as a cloud-based service, and when combined with Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS software, gives both DevOps and IT teams the power to quickly deploy and operate applications with confidence, in any cloud, at any scale, while ensuring reliability, performance and security.”

“Joining Nutanix gives Netsil's technology a great opportunity to be a force multiplier," added Netsil’s Founder and CEO, Harjot Gill. "Nutanix has built a very solid Enterprise Cloud OS platform, which when combined with Netsil’s real-time observability, becomes even more strategic when addressing a growing microservices market. We are really happy to be joining a company where Netsil's capabilities will be used to their fullest.”
