Bracket Computing Inc. (Bracket) has received an additional $45 million investment, bringing the funding the company received to date to in excess of $130 million. A number of investors were involved in the funding, including Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Management and Research Company. Other investors included Allegis Capital, Columbus Nova Technology Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures. Strategic investors included Qualcomm and GE. While the exact value of Bracket post investment was not revealed, the company has suggested it is less than $1 billion.
Bracket, which has headquarters in Mountain View, California, USA, was established in 2011. The company is the brainchild of Ironport Systems veterans Tom Gillis and Jason Lango. It specializes in software development and its flagship product, ‘Computing Cell’, unifies Bracket’s customers’ applications, data, security, networking and data management. Computing Cell can be utilized to manage customers’ data centers and public clouds and offers another layer of cloud security protection. Bracket’s customers’ have full control over their data which Computing Cell distributes to a range of cloud hardware to ensure continuity and enhance speed and performance.
