InfoRelay has added R1Soft Continuous Data Protection to some of its hosting packages, it was reported recently. The solution will be offered as an add-on for its managed, dedicated and collocation offerings. According to the company, “CDP technology brings fast, reliable backups for Linux and Windows to InfoRelay customers as well as protection for MySQL database infrastructure and client production environments”.

This avoids backing up all data as with traditional backup techniques. R1Soft CDP provides a “uniform backup solution across heterogeneous environments”, enabling InfoRelay to “easily manage” Linux and Windows backups through a single centralized web-based interface.
