Enterprise management software company
Software AG has bought Santa Clara, California-based cloud platform company LongJump. The company, which has headquarters in Germany, will continue to provide LongJump’s Platform-as-a-Service products.
Software AG offers a range of big data, integration and business process solutions designed to enable its customers to optimize processes and provide a better service in an era of social collaboration and cloud and mobile solutions. The company has been in operation for over 40 years and operates in 70 countries with around 5,300 employees. Purchasing LongJump enables Software AG to broaden its product range with a greater focus on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by offering self-service options designed to give companies the means to cater for shifting business requirements.
LongJump will be incorporated alongside Software AG’s ARIS, Terracotta and webMethods solutions. This will enable the company's customers to deploy solutions through their on-premise facilities or through public or private clouds and hybrid environments. LongJump will also enable application utilizing models and templates where no coding is required. Applications will also be automatically mobile-optimized with built in access-based security and enterprise authentication policies.
