Enterprise Software and Services Provider QAD Chooses IBM Cloud
Enterprise software and services provider QAD has chosen to partner with IBM to utilize its cloud services. The company, which has headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, USA, provides software solutions to "global manufacturing companies". Its QAD Enterprise Applications solutions is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool that can be used for a range of purposes including demand and supply chain planning, customer management, and business intelligence and business process management. QAD has chosen IBM as its Sydney, Australia-based Cloud Center will enable its QAD Cloud ERP customers to "expand hosting options" in the region.

QAD Cloud ERP caters to a global customer base of some 15,000 users utilizing SSAE 16 SOC Type II and ISO certified data centers. The company's move to engage IBM is a response to increased demand from companies in New Zealand and Australia that are migrating to Cloud ERP's. Offering QAD Cloud ERP through IBM’s SoftLayer infrastructure, QAD has guaranteed uptime and the ability to manage "environments, data and services" on an as needed basis.
