eSigma Unveils Web Services Search Engine and Directory

May 24, 2005
May 24, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - eSigma, based in Chicago, IL, has completed the first phase of its product definition roadmap for allowing businesses to collaborate electronically utilizing the Internet for connectivity. Using eSigma.com, organizations can publish and search for business processes at no charge. Unlike traditional business collaboration models, eSigma is seeking to specifically support those enterprises focused on Service Oriented Architectures or "SOA" frameworks for building and managing enterprise applications.

The company, founded by former Tradex Engineer and Harbinger Solutions Architect, Troy Haaland, has been operating quietly for over 3 years without taking outside investment. "We're at the doorstep of an estimated $9.1 billion dollar market for companies that will use the Internet to collaborate in ways once thought improbable which are now inevitable," said Mr. Haaland. "We've carried this vision on our own backs for a long time waiting for standards to be adopted and the enterprise to embrace this vision - that time is now upon us."

eSigma today also announced that over 125 enterprise class business processes have been published within the public directory. Companies with published Web Services in the eSigma directory include: XWebServices, Inc., Xignite, Inc., CDYNE, Recruitforce.com, StrikeIron, Inc., and Service Objects, Inc.

"I would urge all Web Service Providers to use eSigma's platform for publishing their Web Services. As more organizations understand how XML/SOAP based Web Services can be leveraged into their applications, platforms such as eSigma.com will undeniably play a key role in the advancement of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The fact that eSigma.com is standards based establishes the company as a key player in the business process management marketplace," says Cristian Sturek, Founder and Principal SOA Architect of XWebServices, Inc.

"The initial response from service providers has been extremely positive and we expect that trend to continue as we introduce new features to the product line-up," said Jeff Faath, VP of Engineering at eSigma. Features available immediately upon registration include the ability to test processes or services, making certain they are valid and available for building composite applications. The Process Collaboration Network (PCN ) includes a process management feature so organizations can maintain a consistent and complete platform for all of their business processes they wish to share with trading partners.
