European Internet Provider United Internet to Acquire Web Host World4You
European internet provider United Internet AG (United Internet) is to acquire web host World4You Internet Services GmbH (World4You). United Internet, which has headquarters in Montabaur, Germany, was established in 1988. The company oversees a number of key hosting brands including 1&1, GMX and Web.DE. These brands offer a range of services to predominantly international customers, including web hosting, cloud and cloud application services, and internet access options. United Internet will acquire World4You through its 1&1 Internet SE subsidiary.

World4You has global headquarters in Linz, Austria. The company offers cost effective internet and domain solutions with the guarantee of the highest possible level of data protection. The company operates data centers in Austria and prides itself on high levels of customer and technical support. With 100,000 customers the company manages around 250,000 domains, making it Austria’s web hosting market leader. United Internet has reached an agreement acquire 100 per cent of World4You, but financial aspects of the deal have not been released.

“The acquisition of World4You will enable us to extend our lead in the European hosting and cloud application business and significantly strengthen our market position in Austria,” explained United Internet’s CEO Ralph Dommermuth in a press release. “We are therefore continuing our strategy of complementing organic growth with targeted acquisitions,” he added.
