September 21, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Alongside efforts by members of the web hosting community to find accommodation for victims of Hurricane Katrina through web sites and the provision of support services, a Salt Lake City-based web host has announced the offer of free web hosting services to companies affected by the disaster. Consonus will offer its data center, professional and IT managed services to aid businesses based in the three states impacted by Katrina - Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama. "Consonus is committed to doing everything we can to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina," said Daniel Milburn, chief operating officer of Consonus. "By offering free web hosting services to companies that have been affected in the area, we hope to alleviate some of the hardships they are experiencing, while trying to rebuild their businesses and lives." The free offer includes one rack per business with a 20 Amp circuit and large discounts for companies with larger space requirements. The offer applies until the end of the year.
