General insurance software provider RDT has chosen cloud-enabled hosting provider
NaviSite Europe Limited, a subsidiary of NaviSite, Inc. (NaviSite), to support its testing and development systems. NaviSite is a Time Warner company which offers a range of hosting services. These include scalable managed services such as application services, hosting, and managed cloud services for companies who wish to “outsource IT infrastructures and lower their capital and operational costs”. RDT has deployed NaviCloud Director to enable its software engineers to concentrate of developing solutions for the insurance market.
RDT, which has headquarters in West Malling, Kent, United Kingdom, has been in business for 24 years. The company specializes in digital technology that is “transforming the insurance industry”. Its products and services include the Landscape insurance administration package which is most often used in the UK. RDT chose NaviSite based on research into the differing services available and its reputation as a “trusted and reliable advisor as well as the flexibility of its cloud offerings”.
“The insurance industry has been slow to adopt new technologies but in the next five years we will see a technical revolution within the industry,” explained Rob Grigg, the CTO of RDT. ” We want to make sure that we are equipped with the best IT infrastructure so we can develop quality products for our customers and continue to disrupt the insurance market. As we expand our business we will continue to look to NaviSite to support the development of our services.”
