German multinational software company
SAP SE (SAP) and Chinese multinational computer technology company Lenovo have partnered on cloud solutions. SAP, which has headquarters in Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has a presence in around 130 countries. The company offers a range of products and services including cloud, analytics, mobile and IT offerings. Lenovo has headquarters in Beijing, China, and Morrisville, North Carolina, United States. The company is recognized as a leading mobile phone brand but its products extend to laptops, tablets, desktops, workstations, servers, storage and networking, and accessories and software. The companies will cooperate on bringing new innovative cloud solutions to the Chinese market.
The two companies have previously been involved in collaboration and SAP utilizes Lenovo solutions for some of applications (like its solution development environments and the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud service). SAP is also Lenovo’s preferred ERP provider. The companies will jointly develop new solutions and investigate which technologies are required to meet the requirements of the digital economy. They will also cooperate on global market programs and showcase solutions at Lenovo Innovation Centers in Stuttgart, Germany, Morrisville, United States, and Beijing, China. SAP will also use Lenovo solutions for its infrastructure server platform.
