Global Cloud Platform Provider Host Virtual Expands Seattle Internet Exchange Connectivity
Global cloud platform provider Host Virtual has expanded connectivity at its Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) facility. The company, which has headquarters in Santa Monica, California, USA, offers a range of products and services. These include cloud optimized and managed cPanel hosting, VOIP, hosted PBX, and disaster recovery options. The company owns and operates data centers in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. It is recognized as being “one of the 10 most connected ISP's on the planet” and a BGP Anycast leader. The company has added peering options to expand its Seattle data center connectivity.

Located at the Sabey Technology Campus Facility in Seattle, Washington, USA, Host Virtual’s facility is "the largest private internet wholesale data center provider in North America” and has Microsoft and Oracle as neighbors. Launched in April 1997, SIX was initially established as a private interconnection for two ISPs that catered for traffic between Seattle and Texas in the United States. SIX currently represents a network of 196 providers and provides 400 Gbps of peak traffic.

"Joining the Seattle Internet Exchange means we can provide our customers with greater peering options in one of the most connected tech centers in the world," explained the Senior Vice President of Host Virtual, Sandy Bhargavi. "This peering offers better connectivity to not just the Seattle area, but also the U.S. Northwest and the surrounding area. We’re very pleased to be able to be able to provide this network expansion to our customers. Host Virtual aggressively upgrades its connectivity and hardware to ensure our customers have the best service, no matter what their needs are.”
