Global IaaS Hosting Platform Servers.com Announces Launch of Singapore Data Center
Global Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) hosting platform Servers.com has announced the launch of a new data center in Singapore. Servers.com, which has headquarters in Dallas, Texas, United States, is an XBT Holding company. The company provides an “automated data center infrastructure to small and midsize businesses (SMBs)” and offers a range of services which include bare metal servers, cloud servers, dedicated servers, and cloud storage. Its new data center joins Servers.com’s network of ISO 27001-, ISO 9001-, and PCI DSS-certified data centers in Moscow, Dallas, Amsterdam, and Luxembourg.

The new data center underscores Servers.com's policy of providing an “identical infrastructure in all locations” to establish a “unified worldwide automated hosting platform”. The approach means consistent cost-effective enterprise-grade services across its locations. The Singapore facility is directly connected to Europe, meaning a 200% decrease in latency between Europe and Singapore.

"The opening of the Singapore data center aligns with our strategy and goals to expand our global presence,” explained the Chief Operating Officer at Servers.com, Nick Dvas. “Moreover, some of our international clients have a growing interest in the Asian emerging market as a whole, and in Singapore in particular. We are planning to continue expansion in the APAC region, and are currently looking into options to establish our operations in Hong Kong by end of Q3'2016," he added.
