Global Networking Provider NTT Com to Acquire Managed Service Provider Secure-24
Global networking provider NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) is to acquire managed service provider Secure-24 Intermediate Holdings, Inc. (Secure-24). NTT Com, which has headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, is the international division of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), a global telecommunications company. NTT Com’s services extend to cloud, hosting and IP networking services. It also provides IPv6 transit technology and maintains a global IT infrastructure that includes private networks, Ethernet VPN, and Tier1 global IP backbone networks which include data centers in Asia, Europe and North America. Secure-24 will be fully integrated into the NTT Group.

Secure-24, which has headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, United States, was established in 2001. The company specializes in “delivering mission critical application hosting, comprehensive managed IT, and cloud and security services to enterprises worldwide”. It owns and operates two SSAE 16-compliant datacenters in Michigan and also rents capacity from Switch on the SuperNAP campus in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Secure-24’s customers include Fortune 1000 companies in the manufacturing, finance, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, insurance and transportation sectors alongside government organizations. The acquisition will enhance NTT Com’s managed services capabilities.

“This acquisition brings the unparalleled service levels, application expertise, security and compliance support of Secure-24 to the global NTT community,” explained Secure-24’s CEO Mike Jennings in a press release.
