Avnet is to offer off-premise and colocation solutions from high-speed internet provider CenturyLink and Data Center-as-a-Service company IO. Avnet, which has headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, bills itself as offering a “comprehensive portfolio of innovative products, services and solutions” that accelerate the success of customers who “build, sell and use technology globally”.
Avnet’s partners will be able to access cloud solutions through the Avnet Cloud Marketplace – a “one-stop shop” that provides a variety of payment models for solutions from a number of cloud service providers. By offering these new solutions Avnet will enable its partners in the United States and Canada to be able to offer secure hybrid cloud solutions to their customers and benefit from the increasing demand for hybrid cloud environments.
“Our new co-location solutions combined with the strength of Avnet’s cloud and hybrid data center services will help partners quickly solve for common customer challenges in the cloud, including cost, performance and security,” explained Avnet’s Cloud Solutions’ Vice President of Business in the Americas, Tim FitzGerald. “This is another great example of how Avnet continues to innovate its cloud solutions that span the entire hybrid data center solutions stack, including design, integration, delivery, implementation, migration and disposal.”
