September 18, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Go Daddy is announcing a complete redesign of its “multimedia component” GoDaddy.TV (http://www.godaddy.tv), it was reported recently. According to the company, the move offers users “more videos and interactive content, quickly and easily”.
To underscore the popularity of online video, the company quotes ComScore, a “global Internet information provider”, who suggests more than 11 billion videos were viewed by Americans in July 2008 – up by two billion views in a year. Sites utilizing online video and multimedia often use domains featuring the ‘.TV’ suffix. The new GoDaddy.TV design offers videos of Danica Patrick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the company’s Super Bowl commercials.
“We wanted to have GoDaddy.TV match the power of the dotTV extension,” explained Bob Parsons, Founder and CEO of Go Daddy (http://www.godaddy.com). “When someone visits a dotTV website, they expect to see multimedia – and that’s exactly what the GoDaddy.TV website gives them.”
Go Daddy offers a range of domain name registration plans and website design and hosting packages alongside other on-demand services. These include SSL certificates, domains by proxy private registration, ecommerce website hosting, blog templates and blog software, podcast packages and online photo hosting. The company manages around 31 million domain names.
