August 4, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – In a two-man battle to the finish line Go Daddy's Brad Keselowski took the checkered flag yesterday at the first ever NASCAR race at Iowa Speedway.
Keselowski took the lead with eight laps to go in NASCAR Nationwide Series inaugural race in Iowa. This is his second Nationwide Series victory in the No. 88 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet this season. Keselowski also scored a Sprint Cup victory in Talladega earlier this year.
"This is the coolest place I could win," Brad Keselowski said in Victory Lane. "I had an awesome car, the GoDaddy.com Chevrolet was fast."
Go Daddy CEO & Founder Bob Parsons is especially proud of the win since he helped design the No. 88 Chevrolets and spotted Keselowski's talent from the start. "Brad drove a great race and put on an exciting show for the fans," Parsons said. "We always like to see the Go Daddy cars win, but to get a checkered flag in Iowa is especially sweet!"
Parsons' world leading domain registrar and Web host provider, Go Daddy, has offices in Cedar Rapids and many of its Iowa employees were in the stands to see Go Daddy's big victory at the Iowa Speedway yesterday.
Along with sponsoring Keselowski, Go Daddy was the presenting sponsor of the television broadcast for the U.S. Cellular 250. Go Daddy had branding on everything from broadcast segments to the running order and in-car interviews with Keselowski.
This is Keselowski's fourth career Nationwide Series win. This is the second time he's won while driving the No. 88 GoDaddy.com Chevrolets.
Keselowski is part of the JR Motorsports team and mentored by one of NASCAR's greats, Go Daddy spokesman Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. drives the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet in the Nationwide Series. Go Daddy also sponsors Keselowski this season in seven Sprint Cup Series races in which he drives the No. 25 GoDaddy.com Chevrolets.
Keselowski races the No.88 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet next Saturday in the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen.
