Go Daddy's Chevy Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
September 4, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – In honour of the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign next month, GoDaddy.com has revealed a pink version of its No. 7 Chevy to be driven by NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.

The eye-catching machine will take the centre stage at NASCAR's upcoming Nationwide Series race in Charlotte on October 12, with Patrick unable to conceal her excitement for the teams new colour theme.

"I love the idea of a pink car to help raise awareness about breast cancer. The No. 7 Chevy is known for its iconic Go Daddy green colour ... I think the pink car will pop and attract attention for a good cause," said the acclaimed racing driver.

The domain name registrar is looking to "generate buzz" for the charity which supports the 200,000 women that are diagnosed with the disease every year.

Along with the pink motor, Go Daddy is also participating in Chase Authentics' "Check Your Headlights" campaign which also seeks funding and increases awareness of cancer research. The program will consist of a line of apparel and products with a portion of the proceeds going directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Patrick continued: "We all know someone who has been impacted by this disease and NASCAR fans are so passionate, I know they'll step up to help the cause."

Go Daddy has also further shown its support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation with a planned $50,000 donation as part of the program in Charlotte next month.

Go Daddy's Marketing Vice President Teri D'Hooge, said: "We are fortunate to be in a position to help others - awareness and prevention are keys to 'beating breast cancer," said, whose own family is dealing with the devastating disease.

"Women's health has been a cornerstone of Go Daddy's charity work over the years. We think this campaign is especially powerful because it plays off of Danica and NASCAR in a fun, non-conventional way.

"Now we hope NASCAR fans will help get more people talking about the breast cancer battle, which unfortunately has touched so many families."
