New integrations give developers and AI agents a connected way to turn applications into fully operational online businesses.
GoDaddy has expanded its Developer Platform with new application programming interfaces (APIs) for hosting, professional email and commerce, enabling developers and AI agents to manage essential online business services through a single, programmable platform.
The expansion builds on the domain APIs introduced in July, which now support standard, premium and bulk domains. Together, these capabilities provide a more connected workflow for taking projects from working code to live online businesses without switching between multiple platforms or interrupting development.
As AI coding tools accelerate software development, creating an application is becoming faster and more accessible. However, launching it online can still require separate steps for hosting, domain configuration, email setup and commerce management. GoDaddy's expanded Developer Platform aims to simplify this process by making its existing infrastructure accessible through consistent APIs, documentation, credentials and command-line tools.
Simplifying AI-Powered Development
The expanded platform enables developers, web agencies and AI coding agents to access the core services required to build, launch and manage online businesses through a unified interface.
The addition of Node.js Hosting allows users to create, deploy and manage web applications directly through the Developer Platform without opening a dashboard. Developers can preview applications and access built-in security features, including automatic HTTPS, a web application firewall, a content delivery network (CDN) and a managed MySQL database.
"The next generation of businesses will be built differently," said Hemanth Guntupalli, chief technology officer of platforms at GoDaddy. "AI can turn an idea into working software in minutes, and we're building the infrastructure that lets developers and AI agents take that software the rest of the way. From code to hosting, domains, email and commerce, our customers can take their working application to a live business without breaking the flow."
Four Core Services, One Connected Platform
The expanded GoDaddy Developer Platform brings together four key service categories, allowing developers to automate essential business operations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Domain APIs: Enable programmatic domain searches, name suggestions, purchases and management. Support includes standard, premium and bulk domains, preferred API pricing, DNS configuration and domain administration.
- Hosting APIs: Allow developers and AI agents to create and deploy Node.js applications, attach hosting plans, publish applications to production, manage secrets and access application logs through APIs or the command line.
- Email APIs: Support professional email purchases, mailbox creation and automated configuration of essential email records, including MX, SPF and DKIM.
- Commerce APIs: Provide programmatic access to GoDaddy commerce stores, product catalogs, orders and customer information.
These capabilities are designed to operate as an integrated system rather than as isolated services, helping developers automate multiple stages of launching an online business.
For example, an AI agent can assist with building a website or application, deploy it through the Hosting API, and then use the Domain API to find and configure a suitable domain. The agent can subsequently set up professional email through the Email API and manage products, customers and orders using the Commerce APIs.
This connected workflow reduces the need for manual configuration and allows developers to manage more of the process directly from their existing development environment.
Security and Control for Developers
The platform gives developers control over how applications and AI agents access their GoDaddy services. Users can operate under a single GoDaddy Developer Platform identity and configure personal access tokens with product-specific scopes to grant the permissions required for individual tasks.
Developers can access platform capabilities through REST APIs and the GoDaddy command-line interface (CLI), while existing account, authorization, fraud and abuse safeguards continue to apply.
GoDaddy says the platform is designed around the needs of modern development teams, combining accessible APIs, consistent interfaces, clear documentation and practical tooling with the reliability of its established infrastructure.
Supporting the Next Generation of Online Businesses
The expansion reflects GoDaddy's broader strategy to simplify how businesses build, launch and operate online as AI becomes increasingly integrated into software development.
By combining AI-assisted application creation with programmable infrastructure, GoDaddy aims to help developers move beyond building software to establishing and managing complete online businesses.
"Our job is to provide the technology foundation for the next generation of AI-powered businesses. Powerful enough for developers, simple enough for business owners and seamlessly integrated so everything works together," said Guntupalli.
Availability
The expanded GoDaddy Developer Platform is available globally at no cost to customers. It is designed for developers, web agencies, technical professionals and AI coding agents managing GoDaddy products.
