Google Creates API to Allow Advertisers to Interface with AdWords Server

February 2, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Google has just released a free AdWords API service that lets developers engineer computer programs that interact directly with the AdWords server. AdWords is Google’s “cost per click” advertising scheme where advertisers choose keywords for which their ads will appear. The API is a way advertisers and third parties can more efficiently - and creatively - manage their large AdWords accounts and campaigns. The API can be used to generate automatic keyword, ad text, URL, and custom reports, Integrating AdWords data with databases. AdWords API utilizes SOAP and WSDL, which support a growing number of languages - including Java, .NET, Perl, PHP, and XML.
