Google Inc. Announces First Quarter Financials

April 21, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Google Inc. (http://www.google.com) has announced financial results for the first quarter of 2007. The company reported revenues of $3.66 billion up to March 31, 2007, representing a 63% increase for the same period 2006.

"The global growth of our core search and ads business and our focus on building our partnerships drove our strong results in the quarter," Google’s CEO, Mr. Eric Schmidt. "We continued to expand our worldwide footprint, adding important new partners and growing our platform to increase our ability to deliver targeted and measurable ads. The ongoing expansion of our network allows us to improve the user experience through new opportunities and programs," he added.

Highlights of the period included Google-owned sites generating $2.28 billion, 62% of the first quarter 2007 revenues. The company’s partner sites generated $1.35 billion, or 37% of total revenues, through AdSense programs. This is a 45% increase on the first quarter of 2006. International revenues – from outside the United Sates - totaled $1.71 billion.
