Hewlett Packard Enterprise Announces General Availability of Cloud28+
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the general availability of Cloud28+. HPE, which is HP's enterprise-focused division, has global headquarters in Plano, Texas, United States. It is a recently formed company established as a result of CEO Meg Whitman's recent restructuring of HP. Cloud28+ has been labeled “Europe's cloud of clouds” and represents a service catalogue that includes “federated infrastructure covering more than 28 countries”.

Cloud28+ is a European-based community “aimed at increasing the visibility and revenue of its members and accelerating adoption of cloud technologies”. The catalogue focuses on providers that can provide services that comply with European data privacy and security rules. It represents an amalgamation of European SaaS, PaaS and IaaS providers that utilize HPE's Helion OpenStack. Around 680 providers are currently included in the catalogue.

“Being part of the Cloud28+ initiative will help Intralinks to reach more enterprise customers across Europe. It also demonstrates our focus on the specific needs of European customers as it relates to data privacy and data sovereignty,” explained Intralinks Senior Vice President EMEA, Dave Wareham on the Cloud28+ website.
