Cloud hosting provider
Hostgee (Hostgee) has announced the launch of a new data center in Palermo, Italy. The company, which was established in 2009, has headquarters in Al Shawqiyah Makkah Almukarramah, Saudi Arabia. It offers a range of services including web hosting, VPS hosting, and dedicated servers alongside website design and online marketing options and caters to around 5,500 customers and employs around 75 people globally.
The company’s latest data center launch is intended to meet increased demand for Saudi Arabian cloud hosting. This is Hostgee’s third data center worldwide (with others in Canada and Saudi Arabia) but its first in Europe. Palermo represents a strategic location for Hostgee as Italy is “the nearest point in Europe for Saudi Arabia and the Middle East area”. The new data center offers Solid State Disk (SSD) storage and servers with Intel E5 processors. It is supported by a 40 gbps redundant network and KVM hypervisors.
"There is a growing demand for hosting infrastructure across Saudi Arabia," explained Saeed Al-Bashri the CEO of Hostgee. "There is an exciting startup and technology development scene in Italy and throughout Europe. We are pleased to expand our simple and powerful cloud services to developers, entrepreneurs, and businesses in the region."
