Hosting and Managed Services Provider ITC Achieves UPTIME Tier III Certification
Hosting and managed services provider Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) has achieved Tier III data center certification. ITC, which has headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is primarily a telecom provider but offers a wide range of services. Alongside hosting and managed services, its services extend to public and private cloud hosting options. The company’s DC1 data center in Riyadh, its DC2 facility in Khobar and its DC3 center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia have received the certification.

When applied to a data center, Tier III certification covers facility design and construction. It determines whether a data center “has redundant capacity components and multiple independent distribution paths serving the computer equipment” and whether the center operates on a “Zero” outage basis. It also determines whether centers have dual power inputs.

The advanced certification is in part a result in ITC’s investment in data center capability to ensure it can respond to growing demand in its region. Tier III certification is managed by the Uptime Institute. The organization, which has headquarters in New York, United States, provides third-party evaluation of data centers around the world. Its certification means users can have confidence in a data center company's ability to deliver quality services. The certification is recognized by both businesses and government bodies.
