Hosting Provider Rackspace Wins ABA Best Customer Service Award

June 11, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Rackspace Managed Hosting today announced it was named Best Customer Service Organization by the American Business Awards in its 2005 ceremony on June 6. Known as the "Stevie Awards," the event is hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (April 27, 2005). The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace.

As the Best Customer Service Organization, Rackspace stood out against 18 other blue chip finalists nominated for the category and shared the top honor with Wyndham International, Inc. The American Business Awards describes excellent customer service as an unparalleled level of support for its clients and 100 percent responsiveness to customer needs and emergencies. Rackspace was selected for delivering on its Fanatical Support(TM) philosophy and going above and beyond to exceed every customer's expectation.

"Not only are we the leader in excellent customer service in the technology industry, but now we've been recognized as one of the best service companies across all industries," said Graham Weston, chief executive officer, Rackspace Managed Hosting. "It is Rackspace's legacy to become one of the world's greatest service companies and we will continue to deliver our brand of Fanatical Support to our customers."

More than 1,200 nominations from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best Support Staffer, and Best Corporate Web Site. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in February through April.

"We honored outstanding companies and the individuals and teams within them," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards, the organization that runs The American Business Awards. "The American Business Awards have grown so quickly because there was a need for a program such as this, to shine a spotlight on executives and businesses that too often go unheralded. Congratulations to all of our 2005 Finalists and Stevie Award winners."
